Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.
Soft washing consumes only one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't deteriorate or damage the surface like power washing often can. Soft washing also does so much more than pressure washing because it does more than simply clean your roof. The products utilized in the SoftWash System don't just tidy; they penetrate, sanitize, and eliminate the root of the issue.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the mix of safe, biodegradable chemicals guarantee that the microorganisms that create buildup are not just partially swept away, but eliminated completely.
Roof Cleaning and More
Soft washing can be performed on a plethora of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can also grow on:
- Concrete
- Brick
- Tile
- Wood
- Vinyl Siding
- Aluminum
- And more…
If you're looking for a method to get rid of what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of annoying pressure washing and use an option that can get rid of the problem 100%.
Biodegradable, Eco-Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, individuals are scared of the word "chemicals," but it's really not such a dirty word. In reality, everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals used in soft washing aid in the break down of pollutants and infestations, so they can be easily rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days of their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Reasons to Use Soft Washing
There are plenty of reasons to pick soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:
- Alternative to power washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It may be suitable for some jobs and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your home isn't only dirty – it's infected. Normal power washing merely gets rid of the outer layer of this growth and does not fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface susceptible again not long after power washing is completed.
- No damage from pressure
Improperly trained or unskilled pressure washers can cause severe damage to a roof or other surfaces, specifically if it's older to begin with.
- More eco-friendly cleaning option
Power washers use from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of washing a pressure washer can utilize from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Alternatively, soft washing just uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so powerful that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing making it more viable for the environment and your wallet.
